It’s laughable that people blame facebook for causing problems in society while using their facebook accounts to say it. It has always been obvious that Facebook can be an enabler or tool to be used for deceptive purposes, but so is google, linkedin, twitter, Instagram and ALL social media platforms or internet based technology. Deception can be done both ways thru fake information or thru misleading/slanted mainstream media. Hackers and social engineers will find it funny that facebook is getting all the blame when in reality the problem lies beyond facebook’s reach of control. Warfare using deception and false information has been around for centuries. Can’t blame the Zuck if he’s trying to get the world connected and have information shared which is basically what the internet was built for, and by looking at it in a technological perspective, I think facebook has done quite a lot with making their system as complex as it is today compared to other companies considering it handles a huuuge (lol) userbase. There is NO PERFECT system or algorithm that would handle society consistently because decisions made by humans alone are often contradictory and flawed.
